Over 42 million Americans face hunger every day including 1 in 6 children. Food insecurity is real in our communities; Northwest Community Action can assist you and your family with food support resources. These resources include local food shelves, SNAP outreach, Ruby’s Pantry, and others in Marshall, Kittson, Lake of the Woods and Roseau counties.

Community Action Poverty Simulations

Poverty is reality for many individuals and families. But unless you’ve experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand. The Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) bridges that gap from misconception to understanding. CAS is an interactive immersion experience. It sensitizes community participants to the realities of poverty. Northwest Community Action can facilitate a Poverty Simulation with your staff for businesses, schools, hospitals and communities.
