Community Action Month

“Each May, during Community Action Month, we reflect on the impact NWCA and our network has had on families,” said Sharon Millner, Executive Director. “Last year alone, Community Action served nearly 2,000 people across northwest Minnesota and over 15 million across the country with immediately needed services such as shelter and food, and also long-term solutions like education, asset building, financial literacy training and job search.”

Minnesota Community Action Day on the Hill March 6, 2024

March 6th was such a beautiful day in St. Paul that visitors (including the NWCA ED) were able to view the Quadriga up close after climbing up the winding 62 step staircase. This gleaming gold sculpture is the Quadriga, the Latin word for a four-horse chariot. It was designed by Daniel Chester French and Edward C. Potter, and it is made of sheets of gilded copper hammered around a steel frame.
