The Little Brother/Sister Program helps young people between the ages of four to 14 by giving them a chance to experience the positive example a Mentor can make in their lives. A Mentor is selected and matched with a child who will meet with their Mentor, at least once a month, to share fun activities. Free group activities are offered to all program participants.

WHAT IS THE LITTLE BROTHER/LITTLE SISTER PROGRAM?
The Little Brother/Little Sister Program is based on the concept that young people can benefit from having the influence of a consistent, positive, role model in their life. The program helps youth between the ages of four to 14 by matching suitable adults, who become Mentors, with boys and girls in the community. This relationship will help in meeting the young person’s need for acceptance, understanding and offer positive guidance. The Mentor and their Little Brother/Little Sister get together at least once a month and participate in fun activities which enable the child to have a relationship with a role model who helps them build their self-esteem, expand their horizons and enrich their future. Free group activities are offered to program participants!
HOW IS A MATCH MADE?
Volunteer Mentors are matched to meet the individual needs of the child. Matching of youth and mentor is made on the basis of location, personalities, the child’s interests, and the ability of the mentor to meet any particular needs which the youth may be experiencing.
HOW DO I BECOME A BIG BROTHER OR SISTER?
To become a volunteer Big Brother or Big Sister please request and fill out the Mentor Application. The application includes a free background check and asks for three-character referrals. HOW DOES A CHILD BECOME A LITTLE BROTHER/SISTER?
To enroll your child in the program the parent/guardian requests and fills out our Youth Enrollment Packet, which helps us know more about the likes and dislikes of your child, such as what their hobbies are and any needs they might have.
