Job Posting: Head Start Teacher
Location: Roseau or Grygla
Position Type: Full-Time (Hourly), School year
Starting Wage: $26-$30.50 per hour

Northwest Community Action, Inc. (NWCA) is seeking a warm and caring individual to join our team as a Head Start Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful programs that help local families improve educational opportunities for low-income families with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Head Start Teacher will develop and implement a comprehensive program for preschool children and provide education and support to families. This includes empowering parents to become their children’s primary educators.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing duties with the paraprofessionals, Assistant Teachers, and Co-Teacher when applicable.
- Work and cooperate with parents to help them become teachers of their children and develop a positive self-image for both parent and child.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred. An associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, with experience working with preschool children and families, is also acceptable.
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and enrollment in a 2-year degree program in Early Childhood or a related field is considered.
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a Family Service Credential or equivalent if responsible for Family Partnership Agreements.

Job Posting: Weatherization Director
Location: Northwest Community Action, Inc. – Badger, MN
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $60,000-$70,000
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Full-time Exempt
- Agency-paid single or family insurance up to $1,100/month. Agency-paid employee Life Insurance. 403b retirement with 4% match after 6 months.
Northwest Community Action, Inc. (NWCA) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as the Weatherization Director. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful programs that helps local families improve energy efficiency and reduce household energy costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership for the Agency Weatherization program in Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Roseau, and Marshall Counties.
- Responsible for all requirements of the program including; reporting, budgeting, and contract compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and submit required reports by required deadlines.
- Talk with clients and collect data to determine program eligibility based on application and documentation; managing difficult or emotional client situations; responding promptly to client needs.
- Conduct home inspections and energy audits.
- Coordinate the process of obtaining estimates, bids and contractors following agency procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers, funders, energy vendors, and other organizations relevant to the weatherization program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, Two or four-year degree in business administration, construction management or related field preferred.
- Experience in weatherization program management, carpentry, construction or home rehabilitation.
- Proficient in computer skills including data entry, budget management and use of database and reporting systems.
- Ability to complete all required Energy Auditor training within one year of hire.
